Specialising in sustainably sourced clothing, but also with shelves stocked with the hippest design and interiors, shoes and accessories, there is sure something that will tickle your fancy. Enjoy a coffee and slice of cake to sustain you whilst you browse. 

Haarlem is after all the home of Frans Hals, so a visit to the Frans Hals Museum is a must. Housing the largest collection of Hals's works, not to mention the beautiful buildings they are exhibited within. Take a trip to Groot Heiligland to discover Hals's own house, and wander over to Hall to discover the temporary exhibitions.

For the perfect mezze spread in Haarlem, without a doubt head to Maroosh. From their hummus to falafel, the flavours are just exquisite. Head here for a casual bite to eat, or grab something to go. 

This cosy little café in Haarlem has become a go-to for our solo coffee dates. Serving delicious coffee and also great breakfasts, treat yourself and enjoy a leisurely morning at this neighborhood spot.

Another spot which convinces us that the way to go is shopping pre-loved is Paragons. In the mood for a vintage Celine shopper, or Loewe tailored suit? You know where to go. 

We love a pizza, particularly if they're from Piccolo Forno where the slow-fermented sourdough is topped with Agerola mozza and baked to perfection at 400°. What is more you can tuck in whilst sipping on a glass of natural vino from one of our favourites, Le Vaccin. 

A sandwich of dreams: the stuffed focaccias at Romeo's make for the tastiest lunch around. Heavy on the fillings (from meats, to veg, to cheese and sauces) and on the freshest focaccia one could imagine, if we could eat this every day we would.

Mabrouk is a butcher, come deli which serves some of the finest fresh fruit and veg, tapenades, herbs and cheeses. Though most flock to Amsterdam for a tipple or two, taru is one of the many reasons why Haarlem is fast becoming a great evening spot in itself.
