Set among the wild scrubland of Maremma, Monteverro takes its name from the wild boar that roam the surrounding hills. Founded by Munich-born owners Georg Weber and Julia Weber, the trailblazing estate sits just a few kilometres from the sea, where coastal breezes shape the vines. Known for producing unusually high-quality Chardonnay for the region, everything is done by hand, resulting in precise, small-production wines rooted in the iron-rich, red clay soil.
