On Lampi’s northern pebble beach, is the Lampi Fish Tavern. A scattering of blue table and chairs are planted by the shorelines, as locally-sourced seafood is grilled and served alongside a bounty of vegetables harvested from the restaurant’s own allotment. Order a few plates to share; a plate of smokey aubergine salad, fava beans, and a grilled, freshly-caught catch of the day. 

A hybrid summer restaurant, regenerative garden, wine cave, animal den, and private home, éla! farm & kitchen is a tucked-away Patmos oasis. Organically grown cucumbers are picked straight from the farm and pickled in homemade vinegar with pink peppercorns from the trees on-site. A whole buttered seabass is served with a generous sprinkle of garden herbs while a drunken apricot tarte tatin is soaked with metaxa and finished with chocolate lavender cream for dessert. Delicious, fresh, and farm-to-table at its finest.

Seafood-heavy lunches rule the menu at Kyma, an oceanfront lunch or dinner stop-off carved upon a rocky raised mound. Nab a table closest to the ocean for the best views, so that the fresh catch-of-the-day is served to the sound of softly lapping waves. 

Just a short stroll from Skala, Meloi Beach swaps loud beach clubs for tamarisk trees, crystal-clear waters and a wonderfully laid-back atmosphere. Bring a towel, claim a shady spot and don't leave without lunch at the nearby taverna.
