Copenhagen's Glyptotek is a wonderful museum showcasing the private art collection of Carl Jacobsen, the son of the founder of Carlsberg Breweries. Their dreamy marble sculpture garden is enough of a reason to visit this museum, but its magnificent high ceilings, botanic features and carefully curated exhibitions are truly the quintessence of the Glyptotek.
Located in The Villa is a quaint little bakery that is known for their "Rug", or Rye bread. This gorgeous sunlit space is the perfect place to have a quiet little moment with a coffee and one of their delicious baked goods.
This pottery studio triples up as a workshop, café, and ceramic boutique. With three locations throughout Denmark (the other spots found in Odense and Aarhus) the Copenhagen branch straddles two floors of its canal-centered location. On the ground floor, the café and shop are free, creative zones; the tables are strewn with clay, templates and "do it yourself" flyers, the walls lined with pots and ceramics, matcha packets, and guidebooks. On the upper level, is the in-house studio and design space where masterclasses are hosted on how to shape, glaze, and fire. Book these in advance for the ultimate Yōnobi recharge.
