In our opinion, Standard serves the most delicious sourdough pizzas in all of Antwerp. They make excellent use of fresh organic ingredients - some of which come from their very own garden.

There's speciality coffee and then there's Caffènation where the blend of brew is given to the exact percentage, and where each of the beans have a backstory. From coffee capsules, filter on tap, to the deliciously creamy cortados and chocolate-topped cappuccino's, this is an addictively-good caffeine fix. Though there's multiple outposts within the city, our favourite is within the green oasis of PAKT. Perch on one of the numerous tree-hugged benches surrounding a child-friendly, or dog-welcoming park during the weekend buzz. 

For a stomach-hugging bowl of warm ramen broth, topped with jammy soy eggs, kimchi 'pork don' (thinly sliced and sweetly marinated pork), or a miso-covered tempura tofu, head to Apo's. Helmed by Apo Tsuboi, the izakaya bistro is an effortlessly cool Japanese kitchen fused with fresh Belgian influence. A flock of locals gathers for ongiri to-go throughout lunchtime rush hour, and a host of laid-back diners come for a casual dinner in the evening.
