Head to Uncle Joe's for a whole dose of Brunswick East cool. Serving glass after glass of wine, they know their stuff, that's a given.

Its a three hour commitment though it is utterly worth it. A 15km route from Fitzroy North to Fawkner, it's hard to imagine you're just that close to the centre.

A bodega, bar & bottleshop. STAPLE in Brunswick is one of the chicest spots for an iced-cold pint or glass of wine. What is more, their social calendar is always teeming with weekly events whether it be a record fair, movie night or uno competition.

An experimental multi-studio and exhibition space, head to Gertrude Contemporary to see some cutting-edge contemporary Australian art.
