Nine suites make up the refuge that is Capella Lodge. Beach-shack vibes, chic interiors and unfathomably, incredible views make this the paradise that it is. Treat yourself to a stay in the Makambo Loft, where a heated plunge pool overlooks Mount Gower and Lidgbird. 

In this seaside inn there are only five suites – a cute spot for tuning into Aussie surf culture – and each one is kitted out with a sweet kitchenette, ideal for cooking from a pre- ordered pantry box stuffed with local goods and ingredients.

This iconic Byron Bay spot is a retreat-cum-spa-cum-restaurant which exemplifies that Aussie beachfront bliss. A stay here ultimately means a feast at the Raes Dining Room, and if that's not a good enough reason we don't know what is. 

Serving up the bay's best brunch for over a decade, you can expect all the staples; a great shakshuka, crushed avo on sourdough or a warming bowl of poached pear oats. That's not to say however, that there isn't the odd surprise on the menu!
