This museum is a collaboration project between acclaimed artist Lee Ufan and architect Tadao Ando. It is a place where art, architecture, and nature merge. Located in a valley, surrounded by the ocean and hills, pinch us please.

While it is a mission to get there it's well worth it for art lovers. Benesse House is a spectacular small museum by Tadao Ando. Oh, and did we mention it's also a hotel? Snag one of their provided maps and make sure to check out the scattered contemporary artworks around the property.

More than just a place to stay, the Ryokan Roka feels like a luxurious escape. Nestled in an idyllic landscape, for the art buffs and design lovers out there this place is a true wonder. Making it all too easy to retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life; admire the nature, take a dip in your open-air bath, before dining on some of the tastiest Japanese cuisine.

A cosy farmhouse eatery with homey specialities and good coffee. This charming local eatery is a great place to refuel in between museums on Naoshima island.
