The Rust en Vrede Estate lies south of Stellenbosch, with a view of the whole of Table Mountain to the West. Having achieved its National Monument status, is has become know for its rich history of more than 300 years in winemaking especially for its portfolio of robust reds.

Translating to “sanctuary” in Afrikaans, Toevlug lives up to its name as a calm, vineyard-framed restaurant on Annandale Wine Estate. Led by chefs Bertus Basson and Drikus Brink, it centres on seasonal, produce-driven South African cooking – generous, comforting plates best ordered to share. It’s also well suited to families, thanks to the wide lawn and playground nestled between the trees, where children can roam while adults linger at the table.

This magical 7-hectare sculpture garden will stun you with its beautiful landscapes and views of the  mountains. A spectacular project created by South African artist Dylan Lewis which is diversifying the landscape ever since 2009.

With branches all over, Merkava Coffee welcomes quick pass throughs and those staying for a long morning. The small batch, specialty grade coffee is a true delight for coffee enthusiasts seeking the finest flavours and quality. Note that the beach (Strand) location is takeaway only.
