Six acres of stalls off Suna Road, on the edge of Kibra, make up Nairobi's second largest mitumba market and one of the city's best addresses for real vintage. Traders here sort rails by item rather than piling everything into bales, so a proper leather jacket or a pair of worn in Levi's is far easier to spot than across town at Gikomba. Baby clothes were the original trade back in the 1980s and remain some of the best value on offer. Go on a Wednesday or Saturday morning, when new stock lands and the best pieces are still on the rail. Bring cash, bring patience, and expect to haggle; the first price is never the last one.
