With Stockholm Design Week incoming, we're taking the opportunity to seek inspiration from those interior aficionadas and from the city that plays host. Home of some of the sleekest design hotels, and stellar architecture, it is non-negotiable that it is also home to some of the best shops we can find.
So, though certainly a non-definitive list, this is our round-up of our go-to places to window shop, peruse, and, chances are empty our wallets in. Helping you achieve your best Scandi self one step at a time, this is one to save to your Stockholm agenda when you're fortunate enough to be next in town.

It seems only right to kick things off with a recommendation of one of our favourite design stores in the city. It is Design Week after all! Tambur has to take that spot: founded in 2018, its principles rooted in sustainable living, it's safe to say the minimalist furniture, and quirky pieces leave you wanting to re-furnish your whole home.

When in Rome (although in this case Stockholm), a visit to the flagship store and design archive of Swedish born fashion house Acne Studios seems somewhat obvious. With a store interior closer to a contemporary museum than a clothing shop, it is easy for the hours to fly away with you as you browse across the racks hanging with gems of the past. All sold at a wallet-friendly price, shopping for luxury has never been made easier.

On the hunt for some new statement jewellery pieces, head straight to All Blues. Using only recycled precious metals - think chunky hoop earrings, to cylindrical choker necklaces - the jewellery is really something else. If you're not on the hunt for anymore silverware then the store itself is worth visiting: glass cabinets, white-washed floors, and linen draped curtains, if this is not inspiration for Design Week we don't know what is.

Purveyors of the best curations of fashion and pre-loved furniture and objects, APLACE is a hub of creativity. As the name suggests, this is the place to come to if you're in the market to shop, but not entirely certain of what you're inkling towards. Hip, charming, and unfathomably cool, this place makes it onto the Stockholm hotlist.

Who doesn't love a good bunch of flowers? Especially when they're from Christoffers Blommor. Masters of their craft, if we could deck our entire home with these arrangements, trust us, we would. Alive with the activity of Stockholm's locals, and tucked away amidst the maze of streets that make up Gamla Stan, there's not a florist that tops it in town.

If you're wandering around Östermalm it's probable you've stumbled across numerous boutiques that have as glamourous window displays, as the buildings they are located within. If like us, you lack any form of restraint, chances are that you've also been drawn inside one too many times. The same can happen in Nathalie Schuterman, though this time it is impossible to regret. Shopping bags at the ready, for rack upon rack of haute-couture design awaits you!

Never have you been to such a multi-faceted place as FABLAB. It's born under the direction of Johan Svenson and therefore, walking into the store is like walking into a carefully curated, magazine spread. Beauty meets interior design in a fusion of things we didn't think we needed, yet, couldn't be happier about.

Wild swimming. Natural wine. Excellent exhibitions. And glorious country walks. These are a few of our editor Hannah Rees-Middleton’s favourite things. Whether she’s bouncing around Mexico, paddling through the Kenwood Ladies’ Pond or ogling another mound of butter at a fabulous supper club, Hannah is always in the midst of something cool. A consummate planner, a lover of beautiful things, a traveller never without a camera and a deck of cards. Hannah is many things (including the perfect resource for perfect travel tips).
