The former home and studio of ceramicist Kawai Kanjiro, one of Japan's most significant craft artists, is now a museum in Higashiyama. Find the kiln in the garden, the residential space decked in Kanjiro's own ceramics and wood carvings, and his studio still open to explore. Temporary exhibitions rotate with the seasons, and various other Japanese crafters – such as Soetsu Yanagi and Tasuaki Kuroda – are curated alongside Kanjiro's works.
