Ruthie Rogers

live like a local in
London

When our friend Ruthie opened the River Café in a Thames-side former warehouse in 1987, it was the staff canteen of her husband Sir Richard Roger’s architecture practice. Today it’s one of the most influential restaurants in the world, spawning not just chefs that are household names (Jamie Oliver, Hugh Fearnley- Whittingstall) but legions of fans who clamour for the perfect crab linguine and legendary chocolate nemesis cake. She loves living in Chelsea, walking in Battersea Park and lunching at Lebanese restaurant Ranoush on the King's Road.
