Nicoletta Fiorucci has spent decades collecting art and championing emerging artists in places most people would never think to look – on the volcanic island of Stromboli, at the Serpentine, and on Li Galli, the remote three-island archipelago off Positano, where Soviet-born ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev once lived. She and her husband, Giovanni Russo, are its custodians, inviting artists to live and work there each summer. Her Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation, founded in 2010, continues to support unconventional approaches to art and design.
