Mafalda Borea

A Lisbon native now based in the Italian capital, our friend Mafalda has built a career spanning international media, philanthropy and sustainable tourism. Following a career at CNN and a leadership role at UN Women UK, she now works globally across experiential luxury in arts & culture and luxury real estate, while continuing her philanthropy work as an advisor to a number of charities and purpose-driven organisations. Off-duty, in between gallery-hopping, tracking down exceptional hotels and exploring new cities through local eyes, she never returns home empty-handed – her suitcase is invariably filled with teas, spices and pharmacy finds collected along the way. A devoted hand-luggage-only traveller, she believes the best destinations are ultimately defined by the people you meet.
