Though temporarily closed until the season begins, Gurisa is one to mark in the diaries and book well ahead. Surf and turf is the speciality. And what with the treetops and open fire kitchen this place truly feels enchanting.

Though only open in high season, this trendy beach restaurant has it all: good vibes, a beautiful waterfront setting, and what is more, it serves the freshest Uruguayan cuisine.

Rizoma is home to many things, one of which is its amazing café brewing up some of the best coffee in José Ignacio. You must however check out their book store. It's not just a pretty façade; with over 15000 titles to choose from, you will be sure to find some holiday reads.

With the breathtaking skies of José Ignacio, James Turrell's Skyspace Ta Khut is simply astonishing. Be prepared to be blown away, this is magic if we ever did see it.
