The Sacred Valley is a region abundant in history, culture and nature. The fertile lands, fueled by the Urubamba River, made this region an agricultural heaven and it was, therefore, a deeply spiritual place. The beautiful Andean landscape and the growing plantations were seen as gifts from the gods. The Incas thanked and honoured the earth (Pachamama), the sun (Inti) and other figures with vibrant ceremonies, making this region, sacred forever. Plus, the valley is dotted with ancient ruins such as Ollantaytambo and Pisac. Spend days or mornings in this region for treks and outdoor activities among the snow-capped mountains. 

Hacienda Huayoccari is a culturally rich estate located in the Sacred Valley. The Hacienda is surrounded by green hills and fauna, giving visitors a breathtaking view from any angle. Visit to experience classic Peruvian cuisine (made with local produce) and regional art, from traditional shows of marinera and live criollo music to waltzing around their halls of Incaic vases and ceramics.  Enjoy Pisco sours during the afternoon after horseback riding or a heart-warming soup for dinner looking up at Cusco’s starry night. 

Saqsayhuaman is one of those cultural sites that will leave you thinking for a bit. To this day, we all question how the Incas made this massive fortress with huge rocks, some weighing more than 100 tons, equivalent to the weight of a blue whale or a Boeing 757 aircraft. Nevertheless, they did and they managed to make the stones fit perfectly together. Despite not having a bachelor's degree in engineering, they were in fact, similar to the minds of Archimedes and Da Vinci. 

This place has everything you need and more. Casa Ichu is a modern and very sleek house that hosts a restaurant, optimal for brunch, a natural wine bar, well-suited for date night or a relaxing afternoon in the bonfire conversation pit, plenty of co-working spaces and a couple of rooms if you want to stay in the very centre of the city. They do it all and we couldn't recommend this place more, whether it is for wine tasting or a business meeting that popped up unexpectedly.
