Tivoli’s answer to the neighbourhood café-deli, here breakfast sandwiches, creative lunch fillings and coffee share the stage with shelves of everyday pantry finds. The Club Club is the headliner: marinated chicken, bacon, tomato, coleslaw and peppadew aioli stacked between slices of toast. 

Part restaurant, part living gallery, The Corner sits inside Hotel Tivoli, where artists Helen and Brice Marden have filled the century-old building with eclectic furniture, striking lighting and contemporary art. In the kitchen, seasonal Mediterranean-inspired cooking makes the most of Hudson Valley farms, while the bar shakes up inventive cocktails and pours wines from around the world. 

A classic roadside stop, Del’s serves up juicy burgers, golden fries and small-batch ice cream made with milk from its own dairy farm in nearby Red Hook. The menu also features boozy milkshakes, from coffee and Irish whiskey to lavender-honey blueberry with gin. 

Named after a line from Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises, {pretty to think so} occupies Rhinebeck’s historic Starr Institute library, where books once lined the shelves and now set the scene for dinner. The farm-to-table menu follows the Hudson Valley seasons, with dishes ranging from caviar-topped frites and oysters to crispy duck confit and market vegetables
