Where the green meets the sea. Galloping in fields with rainbows and ponies and pretty views. Na'alapa Stables is straight a dreamscape that is hard to believe is real and even harder to leave.

At Maritime Cafe, a bright, unpretentious spot tucked along Highway 1 in tiny Elk, fresh local ingredients take centre stage against the backdrop of crashing ocean waves and towering pines. Farm-to-table seafood, seasonal produce, and organically farmed wines feel almost inevitable here, as if the coast itself lent its rhythms to every plate. Note: it's closed Monday to Wednesday.

A Relais & Châteaux perched on dramatic cliffs. The Michelin-starred restaurant celebrates hyper-local produce, while rooms mix cozy wood interiors with sweeping ocean views.

Perfectly located on the road, right on the water in Jenner, Café Aquatica is all about river views and good coffee. The cafe feels like a weathered wooden shack at the river’s edge – part fisherman’s hut, part coffee spot. Order the smoked salmon bagel, sip coffee, and take in sweeping water views.
