Jon & Vinny's is our favourite all-day eatery in LA. Their menu is full of delicious modern Italian comfort classics like hand-tossed pizzas and meatballs in tomato sauce. Visit the built-in wine shop out back after your meal.

Another of LA's beloved Italian hotspots is the Angelini Osteria, headed by Gino Angelini. Priding itself on its humble Italian cooking, the decor is old school, the wine is great and the food terrifically tasty. Go for some grilled calamari, pasta for primi , pizza to follow and round up the night with nothing other than the tiramisu. 

A bookshop and archive run out of an architecture office on Melrose, ARCHITECTURE stocks a tightly edited selection of architecture, design, and art titles alongside an archive of rare material that’s no longer printed. A quiet, focused space that rewards a slow browse. 

Truly one of the best cafés in LA. Head to Community Goods for delicious matcha or coffee and great bites. While you might have to queue, it will be worth your time.
