Adjacent to one of the city’s most-trodden spots, Museo Frida Kahlo (aka Casa Azul), comes Museo Casa Kahlo, housed inside the Kahlo family’s historic home. Already dubbed as the Casa Roja, this tenzontle-toned, red-licked house, is set to showcase a rotation of local, contemporary artists in tandem with Kahlo’s childhood possessions and family archives donated by Isolda Kahlo, granddaughter of Frida’s youngest sister Cristina.

This is one of our favourite museums in Mexico City. It starts dark and moody and as you get to higher floors the light floods the rooms, it is truly a beautiful sight.
