While you might not expect stellar tapas in Toronto, Bar Raval proves it really can be done. The atmosphere is vibey, and the food is undeniably good. 

The fact that the wine list at Grey Gardens is jam-packed with hard-to-find bottles and that the crowd leans heavily bougie hipster does not make this place feel pretentious, funnily enough. Instead, Grey Gardens is charming, familiar and irresistible. 

Though Toronto is technically 'North of the Border' they have some truly excellent spots with that 'South of the Border' flavour. Chief amongst them? Fonda Balam.

An ode to casual yet excellent Chinese cuisine, Sunnys Chinese is the kind of place you never want to leave. It's MIMI Chinese's funky downtown cousin, and we couldn't love it more.
