The porcelain plates are enough to have us swooning over Limon Gümüşlük, but the magic really begins when the sun begins to set on the horizon as the mezze is whisked to your garden table. An oasis if we ever did see.
Ask for a table on the patio for views out onto the cove in Gumusluk. The grilled seafood and local catch of the day are the go-to's at this place, though their crisp house white never disappoints.
Though it does close for the winter season, as soon as summer rolls around, Dereköy Lokantası is one of the first places on our extensive "must-visit" list. A spicy twist on tradition, Zişan Altınçaba's approach to food is all about creativity. Grilled nectarine tops the otherwise sour scorpionfish ceviche and labneh is served alongside an orange and lemon panko. Boy, how we adore this place!
When breakfast calls, a mezze feast at Asmalı Çardak is exactly what we crave. Sit under the flower-filled courtyard and graze on everything and anything from fresh fruit salads, freshly baked breads and pastries and flavours galore. Making mornings all the bit more worthy!
The open kitchen, the roaring fire pit and the contemporary design at Naru already has us hooked. Though, with one bite of the fig, blue crab & sea bass pate with cucumber aioli we know Naru will have us hooked. Dare we say it, but this spot very well may be amongst the top of our Bodrum gems.
