With only three main streets, but also three beaches, the university town has an unbeatable buzz about it. This is all captured within The Seafood Ristorante: an iconic glass building overlooking West Sands which, to no great surprise, serves freshly caught seafood rustled up into imaginative dishes. Almost too beautiful to eat, if it wasn't for the exceptional taste!

Haar, a noun for the cold sea fog on the east coast, is also the name of one of the top dining experiences in St Andrews. Headed by Dean Banks - perhaps recognisable from his time on Masterchef - Haar blends the tastes of land and sea within a relaxed bistro setting. The result is exceptional. 

Purveyors of farmhouse cheese, I.J. Mellis is a small deli tucked away on South Street. Easy to walk past, if not for the queue of people waiting to buy some cheese board staples for their days ahead. Go early, and grab a cheese and sun dried tomato loaf!
