If you're after a pint, a spot of live music, or you happen to be wanting to watch some sport The Swordfish Inn is your traditional, British pub offering all that. With two bars (Shallow End and Deep End) you can bet that the line for your refreshing tipple is never too lengthy. 

An educational arts charity with two airy modernist spaces in Newlyn and nearby Penzance, Newlyn Art Gallery and The Exchange is light-filled and quietly ambitious. Under director James Green, the programme balances world-class exhibitions with work from the talented local artists who define this creative corner of Cornwall. A design-led shop of ceramics, crafts and books, plus cafés serving seasonal produce, makes it a place to linger as much as to look. 

Though Cornwall isn't short of a wine bar or too, Lovetts is something special. With a charming atmosphere, head here for some great natural wines or craft beer, all accompanied by bar snacks and charcuterie. Treat yourself to a cocktail or two if you're in the mood, their Gimlet (made with four parts gin, and one part lime cordial) is really something to write home about. 

As the name suggests, this spot is the seafood haven. Just a short amble away from the ocean and fish market, it comes to no surprise that what this spot does best revolves around the sea. Grab a couple of the 'taster plates' to share. Whether it be the crab mayo sandwich or crispy sole with Katsu curry sauce, the queue is totally worth it. It's worth the hype!
