The Eden Project is Cornwall’s most ambitious experiment in landscape and imagination, carved from what was an empty clay pit. Today, each of its vast biomes is home to an entire ecosystem that transports you thousands of miles in seconds. Wander through a steamy rainforest, brushing past banana trees and waterfalls, before emerging into the dry lemon groves of the Mediterranean. Outside, the landscape is no less dramatic, with sweeping wildflower meadows and art installations dotted across the site. Don't miss the ethereal Eve, a living sculpture crafted in clay and integrated into the Myth and Folklore Garden, a reminder of the inextricable link between art and earth. 

A cottage which resembles that of a period drama film set, albeit extraordinarily cosy and luxurious. This is tradition preserved at its finest. The fabulous interiors match the idyllic woodland setting making it the perfect base for your English country retreat. Idle in the cottage and trudge through the fields though don't fret if you're also in need of a bit of TLC- as you can enjoy the stream rool, sauna, and pool at the Manor.

Abandoned after the First World War, Heligan Estate has since restored its rambling gardens to their former glory, and then some. Stroll from the walled kitchen garden, heavy with heritage vegetables, to the glasshouses where exotic fruits ripen, before plunging into subtropical valleys strung with giant ferns, palms, and a rope bridge that sways through the thick jungle. Intricate details bring the place to life – like the Mud Maid half-hidden in moss – or the buzz of bees in the wildflower meadows. Grab a homemade ice cream or a sausage roll for one of the many food stops, and you could get lost there for hours.

A luxurious country retreat just a few metres from the beach, The Nare Hotel's location couldn't be more picturesque. Swim in the outdoor pool with views across the bay or discover Cornwall from one of the hotel boats. When dinner time rolls around you don't have to venture far for a fine dining feast.
