Get ready to get psyched and London’s very best spinning studio. With locations all around London – we’re partial to Shoreditch or Oxford Street – the team at Psycle gets your heart rate up no matter where you are. Interested in chilling out as well as getting amped up? They also have yoga and barre.

Matchbox-sized with a rhubarb-red facade, Jolene Redchurch is the kind of spot that looks like it was dipped in jam and dusted with flour. Inside, it’s all stripped-back wood, golden pastries, and a gentle hum of weekend chatter. Croissants are crisp, bread is chewy, and morning buns seem to vanish as soon as they’re shelved. Claim one of the tiny benches outside if you can – a front-row perch for Shoreditch people-watching with a coffee and something sugar-slicked in hand.

There are lots of great options for supper on Redchurch Street: see Brat, but also fiery Thai flavours at Smoking Goat beneath it, or Bao’s Taiwanese noodle shop across the road. For something that feels more refined, step inside Blue Mountain School – a mash-up of a boutique design store, gallery space, listening room and restaurant. Michelin-starred Cycene, old English for kitchen, serves a very contemporary nine courses paired with minimal intervention wines or kombuchas. The most laidback tasting menu in town.

Blue Mountain School is very much an interdisciplinary space. Perhaps at first glance almost impossible to narrow down what exactly this six floor, vast silver block designed by architects Christie Fels and James Brown is. Truth is, it's a little bit of everything. Find great exhibitions, fashion and design stores, and plenty of spots for a delicious lunch or dinner.
