It's cool and it's new on the block. Which is perhaps part of the reason why the queues are often so long. But mostly this is because the pizza is damn good. Bringing NY style to the streets of Marylebone, it is well worth the wait in line.
Just about everything in London is stylish. Even the fitness studios! This super sleek, super luxurious Marylebone gym was opened by famed boxer Anthony Joshua back in 2017. Book in for a group class or sign up for private sessions with your very own dedicated coach. You’ll be in fighting form in no time.
Set in an elegant Edwardian building with a balconied back room, the Marylebone store is our favourite of Daunt’s six London bookshops. It’s also a first-class stop for literary fiction. Owner James Daunt hires the best booksellers in the business so every staff member is full of recommendations. Spot Daunt’s forest-green and Malbec-red totes on the arms of readers all over the city.
Moxon Street in Marylebone is a foodie hub of delights that includes The Ginger Pig butcher (don’t skip the sausage rolls), French wine specialist Le Vieux Comptoir and Rococo Chocolates. Passers-by will catch a whiff just walking past La Fromagerie but it’s worth stepping inside to admire the shelves packed full of artisan cheese. Those not up for assembling their own board should try the toasted cheese sandwich in the neighbouring wine bar.
Just around the corner from the magazine meets lifestyle brand’s offices (and across the road from Chiltern Firehouse), the Monocle Café draws a cool crowd. Coffee drinkers are dressed in the seamless organic T-shirts and workwear jackets for sale in the Monocle Shop, a few doors down. The cortados are top-notch and the cardamom buns are from Fabrique, a hit Swedish bakery in Hoxton. If there’s a seat at the table right at the rear, nab it and enjoy the back catalogue of Monocle magazines.
