Though we hate to admit it, there aren’t actually tons of good places to shop for stylish, unique clothing in Amsterdam. Luckily, this stylish city has one place that fits the bill, Azurro Due. It’s certainly the best place to stock your wardrobe with chic, interesting designer threads. Even the most ardent window shoppers are unlikely to come out empty-handed.

Café Garçon is doing its darnedest to transform its corner of Oud-Zuid into Little Paris. We are big fans of its stunning contemporary-classic interior and quintessential French menu. Classics such as niçoise salads, escargots and blinis with smoked salmon are done solidly if not superbly, but it's a great spot for a casual dinner.

While at first glance this may seem like any old brown café, we can assure you that Café Welling is actually so much more. Despite its humble appearance, Café Welling is a true scholarly round table, as many creatives & intellectuals have been meeting here ever since it opened. It’s also a wonderful spot to sip a beer after a classical concert at the Concertgebouw.

One of our evergreen favourites for our morning jolt, Coffee District is beautiful & inviting whether you're lucky enough to snap up a spot on the bench outside in or simply grabbing a cappuccino to go. Not only is their coffee some of the best in town – & certainly some of the very best in the ‘hood – but their pastries are also too moreish to resist. Snag a few extra chocolate chip cookies to bring home with you for when the craving inevitably strikes.

If you’re not from Amsterdam, it’s possible you might not have heard about the Concertgebouw, but it is truly one of the finest concert halls in the world. Their resident orchestra, the KCO, is world renowned & always a treat to hear. We recommend perusing their website to see which concerts are coming up because they’ve got a diverse & ever-changing program.

We don't know what it is, but the Dutch always seem to look incredibly healthy. Glowing skin, fresh tans, lean, lanky figures. While we won't be able to BE Dutch, at least now we can look Dutch with the help of Dany Diop, a fab skincare clinic in the Museumkwartier.

The name really says it all, doesn't it? We love this concept store & deli for its well-curated selection treasures - both edible and inedible. Edible Treasures stands for everything artisanal to pimp up both your kitchen and palate! 

These days, a simple manicure is not enough. If you spend a few minutes scrolling through your Instagram explore page, you’ll see tons of incredibly detailed, design manicures. Want one of your own? Book an appointment at Lakwerk, Amsterdam’s first nail art salon. Though any of the nail techs are terrific, there’s truly nothing like an appointment with founder and nail art wiz Jessica Scholten.

A good facial is a transformative experience, but there’s only so much a good cleanse and a great cream can do. For something a little deeper, a little more rejuvenating, book an appointment at Medical Laser Center on the Cornelis Schuytstraat. Though everyone on staff is talented and professional, we always book our botox with Leonie and laser treatments with Tanja.

When you hear the word Rijks, your mind likely automatically heads to stunning still lifes & Dutch genre paintings. These days, though, there’s even more to it. Rijks is a wonderful fine dining restaurant at the base of the museum with bright young chef Joris Bijdendijk at the helm. The restaurant focuses on seasonal ingredients & makes heavy use of vegetables from their own garden.

Whether you’re in it for the artwork, the building or the sculpture garden outside, visiting the Rijksmuseum is an Amsterdam rite of passage. The Dutch national museum is dedicated to the fine arts and history and is impossible to miss from its perch at the head of the Museumplein. Since its founding 200 years ago, the Rijksmuseum has been a true cultural gem for the city.

If, somehow, you’ve managed to tire of the old master works of the Dutch Golden Age and are jonesing for something a little more modern, head over to Het Stedelijk Museum. This cool museum focuses on highlighting modern and contemporary art, as well as design. It’s just around the corner from the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, so it’s easy to soak up a lot of culture in one go.

There is an abundance of vegetarian dining spots in town but none quite like Yerba. This cosy restaurant values sustainability and fresh ingredients above all.  Don't miss their cute bar in the back for a nice digestif after your meal.
