Visaandeschelde is a Michelin-star restaurant serving  French-inspired seafood dishes that simply can't be found anywhere else in the city. The dishes are creative yet grounded in classic techniques. Heaven!

Salads, yakitori, unami charred aubergine, Hakata Senpachi is a remarkably laid back yakitori-ya where the charcoal fire takes centre stage. 

To be elegant but still stand out is a tough task, but Aimélie Guépin makes it infinitely easier. A skilled couturier and seamstress, Aimélie dreams up beautiful, timeless designs from her atelier in Oud-Zuid. Though we aren’t lucky enough to have a wardrobe comprised entirely of her designs, it’s our favourite spot for special pieces for special occasions.

Could it be the best patisserie in the city? Perhaps. Bringing a slice, or croissant, of France to the Pays-Bas, Grammes is one for the books. Though the plain croissants are exceptional, be adventurous and order a tart to take home.
