Barracuda occupies a vast, warehouse space overlooking the IJ River. Though, it's not quite the Mediterranean waters (the oil-licked, ocean-blue floor is as close as it gets) the grilled fresh fish, calamari friti, and salad niçoise plays homage to those warmer, sunny days. Half the space is reserved for bookings, the other available for walk-in, ensuring a steady hum throughout the serving. With its canteen stools, low hanging lamps, and the more absurd jet skis and boats hanging from the ceilings, Barracuda is the ideal spot for a raucous family get-togethers to causal dates and rendezvous. To make the experience all the more Dutch, order the kibbeling (bite-sized pieces of meaty, white fish), it's a delicacy.
