Nine suites make up the refuge that is Capella Lodge. Beach-shack vibes, chic interiors and unfathomably, incredible views make this the paradise that it is. Treat yourself to a stay in the Makambo Loft, where a heated plunge pool overlooks Mount Gower and Lidgbird. 

Could it be the best patisserie in the city? Perhaps. Bringing a slice, or croissant, of France to the Pays-Bas, Grammes is one for the books. Though the plain croissants are exceptional, be adventurous and order a tart to take home. 

Brunch is all the range in De Pijp, but Poppy's just gives that little bit extra. Forget the avo toast, it's all about sharing plates and fingerfood here. Bao buns, crispy cauli tenders and of course, plenty of kaasstengels make for that perfect Sunday brunch. 

If you spend even a few minutes wandering around De Pijp, you will definitely find somewhere to have a biertje or a glass of wine. But just because you could doesn’t mean you should. Instead, we highly recommend heading to Glou Glou, a fantastic wine bar just around the corner from the Sarphatipark. It’s wonderful & intimate & serves really top-notch natural, organic wines that are all free of additives.
