A truly handsome city, Zurich is much cooler than you might think. Though it's home to striking buildings and a robust financial scene, it's also become a hub of a slightly more underground art and music scene in recent years. Don't write off this Swiss city as a gateway to the mountains (though that is certainly a plus!).
