Vitra Design Museum is totally worth the short trip away from the centre of Basel. It is a design museum dedicated to that of the past and the present. Undoubtedly find yourself completely mesmerised by the astonishing building, designed by Frank Gehry, that houses it all.

It's time to get groovy: Nordstern makes this all the too easy. Music lovers and party enthusiasts unite over the great sound system that takes over the lower deck of what was once a cargo ship. Boogie all night long and let the acoustics work their magic. 

The cocktails are quite possibly as innovative as it gets. Voted the best bar in Switzerland for good reason, expect a great ambience and exceptional drinks to match; it's hard to get enough of their classic take on the Fig Leaf Old Fashioned.
