The César Manrique Foundation is housed in the impressive Volcano House residence designed by Manrique himself, located in the village Tahíche. It is very beautifully integrated into the volcanic landscape in true Manrique fashion!

Found in a quiet little residential area in Playa Honda is the trendy high-end Restaurant Aguaviva. It is run by two Asturians who have made it their mission to challenge traditional Mediterranean cooking with contemporary tweaks. Make sure to give them a ring well in advance for a table!

A refuge-like retreat in Lanzarote’s former capital Teguise, this five-room hotel is the passion project of Óscar Cubillo and artist Gigi de Vidal, who sought to breathe new life into the 18th-century mansion. Paintings, tapestries, and mobile sculptures created by Gigi fill the pared-back, light-filled interiors, which also incorporate works by Canarian artists including Óscar Latuag and the makers behind the Papacría collective. A highlight is the six-course gastronomic breakfast, served on hand-painted crockery by Madrid artist Nuria Blanco.
