Nestled in the midst of buzzing Lisbon, Casa Fortunato is a wonderful hidden gem. This 9-bedroom hotel is perfect for design lovers thanks to its bright, funky decor. Come as a guest, stay as a friend.
Hard to get a table, but oh so worth the effort. This amazing restaurant serves some of the best Kobe beef we have had.
The Vintage is everything you would hope for a city break – cheery, good looking and in the middle of the action (it’s super close to Avenida da Liberdade). Interiors are simple, laid-back and cosy and you’ll spot a lot of mid-century furniture, those iconic shapes reimagined for hotel living. Rich pops of colour and fun artwork deck the walls. There are 56 rooms and suites, some of them have desks for working and sofas for slouching, but the one thing they all have in common is the vintage bar cart. And we love that you can mix your own cocktails (on the house). With all the comforts you would hope for, this is a fuss-free city stay.
A cool concept store with women's and menswear, accessories and items for the home. With a great atmosphere and nice staff this shopping experience is a 10/10.
Warm Mafra-style bread, Azorean butter and a side of pica-pau sauce land on the table first at Pica-Pau, in Lisbon's Príncipe Real. The name, which means woodpecker, also refers to the Lisbon dish of seared cubes of beef served in a beer-based sauce (traditionally eaten with toothpicks). It's a go-to for those craving a taste of the Portuguese tradition, where the daily specials showcase family recipes from north to south: start with octopus salad and codfish fritters, order the special, and finish with the Algarve almond tart.
