Perched on a peninsula, 15 minutes outside of the Norwegian capital, the Henie Onstad Art Center opened its doors for the first time in 1968. Housing 8000 works, the Art Center also has an extensive photography program, an avant-garde and live music programme. Find major works by the likes of Picasso, Matisse and a permanent installation by polka-dot queen Yayoi Kusama.

With a park, diving tower, showers, and lifeguards Sørenga Sjøbad is the perfect spot for your inner city dip. When the snow hits, this spot is always a safe bet for a water hole being created for those icey dips.
