Gardena isn’t just a hotel – it’s a full-on alpine retreat, where luxury meets legacy. Family-run and tucked into Ortisei, this stay blends tradition with its earthy tones, squishy spa chairs, wood-carved doors crafted by the owner’s grandfather and the iconic cigar room. Start the day with a hike or a ski run (the slope’s five minutes away), then unwind in the outdoor pool or curl up in one of the many reading nooks with a view. Dinner? Choose from multiple restaurants, including the tiny Michelin-starred hideaway: Anna Stuben. Gardena is the kind of place that speaks to those who value the good stuff: fine food, deep relaxation, and snow-dusted adventure.

Between the Sella and Sassolungo peaks, Chalet Gerard blends high-end charm with cosy mountain warmth. From comforting schnitzel sto delicate, traditional ravioli recipes, this family-run gem serves up Alto Adige’s best with a side of postcard views. Don’t leave without trying the crepes. It’s high-end yet hearty, with warm service, woodsy elegance, and a spa you’ll never want to leave. A true Dolomitic daydream minutes away from the slopes.

At the foot of the Sassongher in Corvara, La Perla has been run by the Costa family since 1956 and remains one of the region's most beloved addresses. Step inside and you'll find yourself wandering through a Ladin wunderkammer, with wood-panelled stube rooms, antique furniture, vintage skis and a delightfully eclectic collection of curiosities amassed over generations. Add to that one of the Alps' most impressive wine cellars, a Michelin-starred restaurant and nearly 70 years spent welcoming guests.
