Tucked away in the quaint town of Terra Murata, the colourful buildings of Casale Vascello are so picturesque. Against the blue sky, the vivid colours and complex architecture of this fortified spot are well worth a visit.
A short ferry ride from Naples, on the picturesque Procida you can't go wrong when it comes to dishes made with lemons. Situated in the small port of Corricella, Bar Ristorante Graziella can easily be considered the most charming place to take a break from exploring this small, but full-of-surprises island. Their pasta pasta al limone is still the main character of our dreams.
After arriving on the tiny island of Procida, get your bearings (and some steps in!) by hiking up the short, but remarkably steep hiking trail to the Panoramica sulla Corricella. The views are worth it!
Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa is a stylish Italian seaside retreat run the same owners as our favourite Italian hotel Il Pellicano. One look at their stunning terrace, and you'll be hooked!
You’ll need to earn your stay here, 155 steps up a cliff above the Gulf of Naples (fear not, luggage is transported by cable car). A lighthouse from 1884, it still beams light across Ischia’s coastline, now housing four dreamy suites (one was the keeper’s quarters). Interiors are a minimal-meets-mid-century mix: white walls, warm woods, and original lanterns. Sunsets are knockout (as you can imagine), and the rooftop terrace is the aperitivo spot while Luci’ (named after the lighthouse keeper’s wife) serves beautiful Mediterranean plates. There is no spa, but the Poseidon Thermal Gardens are just below.
