The island of Kimolos may be a little further away, but if you have a few days to spare we recommend hopping on a boat and heading to this mountainous, ever-so charming island. Kali Kardia "Bohoris" is your typical Greek taverna; let the retsina and ouzo flow and the plates of dolmades, tzatziki and souvlaki pile high. It won't disappoint! 

With one to three ferries running per day, a trip to Kythnos should be on the cards. And what is a trip to Kythnos with at least breakfast, lunch or dinner at Margiora? Cycladic cuisine though infused with all sorts of spice, order a few plates to share and you're well on your way to a delectable Mediterranean feast. 

The name is all-too apt, for you should leave this fish & wine bar full of Omegas. Tuna is soaked in cucumber vinegar and fig leaf oil, lobster tail is plated with a bouillabaisse sauce and nachos take the form of perfectly fried calamari. With a glass of crisp Greek white, we'll happily hop on that 40-minute boat to Sifnos. 

We love to visit Tiramisù, a cute dessert shop, for specialty coffee & delicious homemade desserts served in a friendly atmosphere. Get a slice to take home or enjoy it with a coffee at their small terrace outside.

If you're on the hunt for something a little more glamorous in Spetses, we highly recommend this romantic seafood restaurant, Water of Love (NTA). It's got a seriously prime location right on the seafront, so the views are unbeatable.
