A family-run, traditional Greek taverna which, unlike many of the restaurants in Patmos, remains open all year round. The menu is simple, featuring classic dishes such as feta-topped Greek salad, fresh fish, and aubergine salad, alongside local stamnagathi (a wild green chicory plant) and octopus topped with crunchy caramelised onions.

A Patmos institution, Tzivaeri has long been a favourite with locals and returning visitors alike. Overlooking the harbour in Skala, this much-loved taverna serves authentic homemade Greek cooking, from freshly caught fish and grilled meats to classic meze made with excellent local ingredients. If you're lucky, owner Yiannis might even pick up his lute before the night is over.
