There's nothing quite like a loaf of fresh bread: from the smell to the satisfying crunch of the crust, and the bouncy doughy middle. And Domberger Bread Factory loafs are truly quite exceptional. From pretzels, focaccia, and some sweet treats alongside all the classics; breakfast is sorted. 

FACTORY GIRL is a warm, cosy cafe with a cool vibe and delicious cakes & sweets. Their healthy breakfast & lunch dishes are all made with fresh, local ingredients. Order the magnolia dessert and one of their homemade lemonades.

As the name gives away, this spot is undoubtedly 'funky', and it also rustles up some of the best seafood plates in the city. Blending Asian flavours with the freshest fish, you've got to go for the chef's recommendations; the sole à la meunière is just to die for. 

Now we'll be the first to admit that Gel Gör is not the swankiest of places, but the food is so good. Satisfying all of your sandwich and Turkish street food cravings, the queue is totally worth it. Washed down with an ice cold beer, this is the food we crave. 

Baked goods, cocktails, brunch, and pizza? What's more to love?! Gorilla takes the title of bakery to an extreme, a very good extreme. Be sure to check out their homemade focaccia pizzas that are constantly evolving. 

For a lazy brunch that turns into a full afternoon hang, Kitten Deli in Kreuzberg is the spot. With sidewalk seating perfect for people-watching – think families, dogs, and the occasional cool grandma – it serves mouthwatering and traditional Levantine dishes. Order the roasted aubergine with tahini, egg and za’atar, then keep the mezze coming. This lunch/brunch spot is ideal for a laid-back sun-drenched chatter over Israel’s bold flavours.  

We love this charming little corner restaurant on a lovely street in Mitte. They serve local, seasonal dishes and are especially good when it comes to offal & game.

We adore this small Jewish restaurant situated in a former Jüdis­che Mäd­chen­schule. Order the signature pastrami sandwich and the chicken liver creme brûlée.

Pauly Saal is a spectacular fine dining temple housed in a former Jüdische Mädchenschule. When the weather is nice, have lunch in the charming courtyard.
