The Markthalle Neun is a wonderful farmer's market in a 120-year-old market hall with stalls overflowing with beautiful heritage vegetables and locally sourced meats. It's also home to the excellent Heidenpeters microbrewery.

Don't worry about staying past your welcome here. Lerchen & Eulen is a lovely cocktail bar adorned with fresh flowers. The inviting atmosphere will most likely keep you here into the wee hours of the morning, but no fear, you can come back the very next day for your coffee as well.

Located in the 130-year-old restaurant in the Markthalle IX, Marktlokal is somewhat iconic. Serving regional and seasonal dishes, along with the finest selection of drinks in a an atmosphere alive with activity, it's safe to say that this place has perfected the art of stellar dining.

Escape the grey streets of Berlin and be transported a little further south at Salumeria Lamuri. We love this tiny cosy Italian eatery for excellent espresso and hearty pastas.
