Lili Gadola is the mastermind behind Limmat, named after the river in her hometown Zürich. The menu here consists of daily freshly caught fish and vegetarian dishes that are inexpensive but oh so delicious.
Andréa Pittaluga launched La Ola with a simple idea: hand the kitchen to talented chefs and let them cook what they want. Khouloude Ben Thayer’s residency brought aubergine terrine with hazelnut chimichurri, while Ely Tran served dashi kombu and pandan desserts from her Southeast Asian repertoire. The format stays the same – small plates, natural wines, an all-women front-of-house team – but the flavours shift entirely depending on who’s cooking. The residency concept means each chef brings their own approach, which is exactly why it works.
Livingston is one of the hipper additions to the city's thriving restaurant scene. Led by the team behind La Mercerie and chef Valentin Raffali, this wine bar/bistro offers an ever-evolving menu of edgy modern comfort-food with tantalising trans-Mediterranean flavours. The carefully curated selection of organic and biodynamic wines are the pièce-de-resistance of the culinary experience!
Fresh food from the market with palpably Italian inspiration & cosy decor. Be sure that you book in advance to enjoy a table in the garden.
Axelle Poittevin and Thomas Benayoun opened Razzia in 2022 and it became an immediate city favourite. Fillings shift with the market – think “pork spider” one week, preserved sweet potato and lemon the next – and the bread comes from local bakery Pain Pan ! Puddings are worth saving room for. They rotate regularly, but expect financiers with figs and tonka bean, various cookies, or seasonal fruit tarts. The counter fills fast, but you can take your order to Place Notre-Dame-du-Mont or a nearby square.
