Casa Julfa

Housed in a 17th-century townhouse in the medieval book town of Montmorillon, this creative hideaway offers pottery, three ateliers, and a collection of charming apartments, with a former forge that hosts all sorts of creative pursuits. Its residency programme welcomes potters, writers, thinkers and artists for stays devoted to making, researching or simply finding a little room to breathe. Small-group retreats also explore everything from ancestral ceramics and wild clay to magical objects and wood firing, drawing on founder Corinne Aivazian’s Armenian heritage and the region’s long craft tradition.
