Artisanal bistro dining at Racines is exactly what you need when in need of elegance and really good food. Set in a former printing factory, this bistro is lively in its charm, and is bold in flavour with their slow-cooked meals.
Down a pretty paved street in the Butte Montmartre is this petite 25-room hotel (or rather, it feels more like a guesthouse) set around a secret garden. It’s a little bit quirky and a touch eclectic in design and detail, but they’ve worked hard to fill the rooms with furniture almost exclusively sourced from flea markets around France. It’s also in one of the most beautiful corners of Paris, with Sacré-Cœur and cool coffee shops only a meander away. You’ll want to ask for a room on the top floor for Parisian rooftop scenes.
The 9th arrondissement’s best-kept secret is Les Suites Cinabres, tucked away inside the brand’s smart boutique on a quiet cobbled street. There are only two suites, but they’re both completely decked out with Pierre Frey’s archival floral tapestries, swish seating areas and tubs designed for two. Every detail is considered, with the beds, textiles and hi-fi systems sourced from the world’s tip-top artisans (Hästens, for one). It’s the type of place to spend a bit more time in than just a weekend away, slipping into a Cinabre robe and living your best Maison lifestyle. Don’t fret about not being taken care of either: got a fancy party but no bow tie? Head downstairs to the shop, and they’ll sort you out. Breakfast also comes delivered to bed – the baguette is only from the best boulangerie in the neighbourhood. It’s a new way to stay in the city (forget those matchbox-sized hotel rooms), and we’re totally here for it.
Featuring deep rich colours, Hotel des Grands Boulevards feel distinctly Parisian. It's an urban cool nod to 18th-century Paris.
Paris's buzzy 9th arrondissement is where Hotel Panache does effortless Parisian cool: curved walls, warm palettes, and bold patterns across 40 sharp rooms. The restaurant Liza Panache serves Levantine plates; the bar is moody and mellow. Forty rooms, low-key energy, a kid-friendly attitude, and all of Paris's energy just outside the door.
