The Sacré-Cœur is one of Paris's most iconic monuments in the city. Book a ticket in advance to enter the basilica or simply join the flocks gazing at the panoramic city skyline from the summit of the Montmartre butte. It's worth fighting the crowds, and the stairs, for a view of the terracotta tiles and tumbling rooftops. For a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower veer off from the stairwell and head towards the Rue du Cardinal Guibert.
