There's nothing quite like seeing the Faroe Islands by sea. Cruise past and Múlafossur, a striking waterfall, and on to Drangarnir. On a good day, you just might catch the puffins huddled together on Mykines.
Tucked away in a stunning valley in the village of Tjørnuvík, this lovely cottage has some of the most insane views we've ever seen. It's incredibly well-equipped, so a great home base from which to explore the rest of the Faroes.
Heimablídni is a long-standing Faroese tradition of welcoming guests into the home for supper. Anna and Oli run a wonderful Heimablídni, where they serve a classic Faroese Sunday roast. You'll dine alongside other attendees, so be prepared to mingle a little!
Perched on a hill overlooking Torshavn, Hotel Føroyar is an ideal hotel if you plan to explore the Faroes. They have a wonderful spa that's just what you want after a long day hiking through the Faroese mist.
One thing you'll notice in the Faroes after only a few minutes? There are a lot of sheep. And we mean A LOT. Naturally, that makes for a long tradition of knitting. Our favourite place to pick up beautiful knitwear is Guðrun & Guðrun. Everything here is handmade, high quality and, of course, stunning.
