We should know by now that sometimes less is certainly more. Though this cantina may not look like much, they're hands down rustling up some of the most fiery flavours in Brunswick. A taco or two a day with a marg on the side, it's perfection.
Everything about The Sails Motel is perfection. It may not scream luxury, but the simply-kept interiors of your classic motel are sometimes just what we're in the mood for. Though it's not at many motels that you can sip on a negroni or spicy marg by the pool...
Ramen, kushiyaki, snacks and sake. Roco Ramen may be a seasonal restaurant though the small plates never fail to disappoint. If the brown butter, confit garlic & caramelised mustard topped local squid is on the ever-rotating menu, order it straight up!
You may have to embark on a little bush scramble in order to reach Christmas Beach, but once you have you'll be greeted with crystal clear water, views overlooking the mountains and a superbly white sandy beach. A perfect stop for the little ones as the water is just the right amount of shallow.
With the New Brighton Beach as your view, The Salty Mangrove is your place to eat, drink, vibe and relax to the soundtrack of records and the lulling of water. Idyllic? Yes. Especially more so once you've taken the first bite of the tropical snapper sandwich smothered in a celeriac remoulade.
